A Winter Weekend in Vermont

For the past three years my college roommates (plus hubbies) and I have had the great fortune to be able to spend a weekend in the lovely village of Grafton Vermont.  This picturesque town is home to one of Vermont's most historic inns, The Grafton Inn. It is also home to a world renown cheese company, a ski touring center, several art galleries and a small nature museum.

A stop at the Grafton Village Cheese Company store is now an annual tradition - and a must see if you have never been there!  Not only is the store quaint and the cheese delicious, but there is a close connection to - (note the photo above) - you guessed it, The University of Michigan!  (and of course I am soon to be a proud parent of a UM Alum ).  Not sure exactly what the connection to UM is, but I do know that the company is a supplier to Ann Arbor's famous Zingerman's Deli, another must see eatery and shop.

I can't go to Vermont without stopping to do a bit of antiquing. I found this lovely 60's satin suit at the Big Red Barn antiques center in Westminster, VT. For those of you who venture to Grafton, there are more wonderful antique stores and restaurants in nearby Bellows Falls.
