I've been thinking a lot about aging recently, my own and Renee Zellweger's if you read my previous post. I believe the appearance of graceful aging has a great deal to do with one's health. If you eat well, drink plenty of water, exercise, and maintain a positive outlook on life, it will show in your skin. Hence the phrase "beauty is on the inside". I'm not afraid of wrinkles, I mean smile lines are from smiling! If you have them you are blessed! However, I would like to maintain radiant skin which unfortunately, is hard to do as one ages. I use a variety of products on my skin, none of which are expensive. The three I swear by are Pond's Cold Cream, Neutrogena Sunscreen, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Pond's cold cream has been around forever, but I still find it to be a gentle, inexpensive, and moisturizing way to remove makeup at night. Sunscreen is an absolute must and I use it every single day. I like Neutrogena Ultra Sheer because it provides good protection and has helioplex. My favorite of the three products is olive oil. I use it in the morning straight from the jar. The benefits of olive oil are impressive, it's high in vitamins A & E, it's natural, it can be used for a variety of other cosmetic treatments including hair and nails, and if you don't like the effects you can still use it to cook with! Am I holding off aging with these products? Absolutely not, but my skin feels great!
